update about Tonight’s (M 12.14) show
hey dudes, our friends in Hangman's Alphabet won't be able to play with us tonight due to a loss in the family. That means we'll probably go on a little earlier than usual, so let's say 9:00pm to be safe. Our thoughts are with our HA compadres, during this tough time.
thanks!

some PRESS for the 11.1 Future Of The Left/The Beatings/The New Dumb show
very nice preview from PLAYGROUNDBOSTON.com : http://playgroundboston.com/2009/10/30/pgb-pick-future-of-the-left-with-the-beatings-the-new-dumb-tt-the-bears-111/
...Which brings us to The New Dumb, a self-described indie punk rock band from Allston. This trio has a great sound – driving basslines, a little bit of twang to their guitars, and a certain casual, almost nonchalant sensibility to the vocals that makes their music all the more catchy. What I’ve heard from their album shows a healthy amount of versatility too, its not just another case of a band with all their songs sounding exactly the same.
and also some kind words from Boston Band Crush: http://www.bostonbandcrush.com/2009/10/show-crush-beatings-new-dumb-and-future.html

opening for FUTURE of THE LEFT (ex-McLusky) + THE BEATINGS on 11.1 @ TTs
just found out about this AMAZING show that we're fortunate to be involved with.
FUTURE of THE LEFT is basically my favorite band right now. Former members of McLusky + Jarcrew, they are all of the following things: brutally loud, fast, catchy, funny, charming, and very very welsh. this'll be their third time in boston (previous shows were with Ted Leo, Against Me!, and The Datsuns). And now, they are at the top of the bill, deservedly so, with us opening up. this excites me to no end!
THE BEATINGS are one of boston's best bands, period. Just released a new album. All i can say is listen to their stuff and prepare to have yourself pleased with the utmost thoroughness by these fine musicians.
THE NEW DUMB are your faithful narrators, your never-failing heroes, your tender lovers, your truest of friends. this will be our best show of all time, you should definitely go to it. We're on 1st at 9pm SHARP.
