in case you haven't heard... our dear Dr. Foster and beloved Mr. Edmands have both welcomed charming young women into this world this summer. our congratulations go out to them both and their lovely wives.

that being said, there is some rocking to be done, come November. Friday November 5th will be the date of our excellent return. we'll be rocking with friends SPEED GOVERNOR from OH, Nassy and The Young Leaves. Poster coming soooon!

The New Dumb is more than just the band responsible for some of the best show flyers in the city, as this lovable local trio has been churning out some ultra-fine McLusky-flavored DIY indie rock since 2006's "This Could Be Disastrous." But the scene veterans are saying goodbye for the time being, as drummer Brian "Neogonzo" Rusnica posted on Lemmingtrail that the other dudes in the band are expecting children. Crazy! The New Dumb is truly the 1994 Arnold Schwarzenegger flick "Junior" of Boston's rock scene, and no doubt will be lending their fertile male bodies to science. Joining their farewell is sassy post-punk harmonic kids Nassy, "molar-gnashing" punk dudes Rat City 3 and Aloha Sarcophagus, which keeps the whole giving birth theme alive with a CD release party...

friends, the hour is drawing near. for those of you who don't know, two of our fine fellows will be welcoming new family members this summer, and we'll be taking some time off from entertaining you. before we do so, please come and experience a feel-good set that will provide you with enough memories to get you this particularly rough patch without us. if you were ever waiting to see a show of ours, i guess this would be the time. ♥
