the year was 2003. rock music was ready for a new messiah. instead, they received the new dumb. formed in allston, MA from graduates of emerson college and boston college, the band set out with one goal in mind: let's become cooler than we currently are. after 7 years, 75+ shows, and thoroughly and repeatedly embarrassing ourselves and our friends, it's clear that we've probably not succeeded.
in 2006 we made a record. it has 6 songs. it's called "this could be disastrous."
in 2008 we made a record. it has 6 songs. it's called "let's get lucky."
in 2009 we made a record. it has 10 songs. it's called "if you're hearing this, we didn't make it."
if you're looking for bands that you may have heard of that we sound like, well, there are none. however, if you like any of the following bands, there is a chance that you may not completely dislike us: mclusky, pixies, the hives, fugazi, liars, the electric six, ween, weezer, les savy fav, the misfits, devo, the minutemen, buzzcocks, art brut, lcd soundsystem (not really), etc. we are also strongly influenced by bands that we hate, of which there are literally thousands.
the band has 3 members:
foster hoyt: guitar and most of the singing
jay edmands: bass guitar and some of the singing
brian rusnica: drums and hardly any of the singing
